Dear Don, Ryan, and Brett, How special it has been to be your friend for so many years. Pam filled my soul with joy and meaning, inspiring me in countless ways. The rainbow was her personal logo. I will always refer to the full rainbow that Bob and I drove under on Jan 6, 2007 (Big Island) as my Pam-bow. I wish you could have seen it. The image sustained me in her passing and inspired a the rainbow flower arrangement for her memorial. I was drawn outside on Thursday as the sun burst through the clouds. I hoped to catch a rainbow. Instead, directly over my head, a bald eagle circled. I stood mesmorized. Later I remembered. Pam was part Cheroke Indian. The eagle is the messenger of the Great Spirit. Pam is close. You loved her so faithfully and gallantly. Continue to reflect her light and love in the world. Carol Olsen-Dick

Both Larry and I send our sympathies to you and the boys at the loss of Pam. She was such a special person, so energetic and loved by so many. Once someone said to me that 'Lost loves never die, they just live in a quieter place.' Pam's energy will certainly live on. Our best to you. Larry and Kathy Claiborne

One of the best things you ever did, Don, was marry Pam. She was such a blessing to our family. She was always full of light and energy. Pam had more energy in her little finger than I have in my whole body! I remember spending the day with her at one of her schools and being amazed at what an awesome teacher she was. She put her whole heart into it. She also had the gift of hospitality. She loved having people in her home and had an amazing ability to make you feel at home. I always loved being at Don and Pam's. I will always remember when she met Mike (now my husband). She took me aside and told me that, 'I had better not hurt him, because he was a good one!' Pam was obviously a good judge of character. Pam filled in for my mom when I had to plan my west coast weding while living on the east coast. She was wonderful at getting all the details together. She even surprised me by making a ring bearer's pillow and writing a song. My wedding was beautiful thanks to Pam. Pam, our family will miss your positive spirit, your light and your energy. You will always hold a special place in my heart. Don, you are a testimony to the marriage vows, 'for better for worse, in sickness and in health.' I love you and I'm proud of you. You are in my prayers

Dear Don, Ryan & Brett, It is difficult for me to express my grief--I feel I've lost my sister. I embrace each and every moment I was able to spend with Pam. A promise I made to Pam at her bedside during her stay at the University Hospital...I am here for you and I will never leave your side. I am truly honored to have been there through the good times and the bad. I am pleased that you allowed me to be a part of your wonderful family. I will never forget the time while we where watching David graduate from bootcamp..He got up to open the door....Pam & I stood up in unison at attention.....We never laughed so hard... I will miss her greatly. God bless you and keep you in His arms through this difficult time. I love you all. Aunt Melinda

Dear Don, Brett, and Ryan, That was a beautiful memorial to Pam and hearing all the stories was wonderful. Don, thank-you for bringing Pam into the Walton life, with her boundless energy and enthusiasm. And I am amazed at how you have cared for Pam these past 2 years. I think you probably found a part of yourself that you didn't know existed! I saw her love of you in that last day, when her eyes followed you and she always wanted to know where you were. I may not know about the Heaven thing, but I know a spirit like Pam's doesn't just 'poof' disappear. She was there on Sat. night and she will alawys be there with all her family and friends. I love you all. Patti

Pam was my second grade teacher at Vaughn Elementary. She is the reason that I am a teacher today. She was such a wonderful, loving person, and I will never forget her. She had an old bathtub in her classroom that we could sit in to read. I loved that!

Don, Ryan, Brett what a grand gathering this evening. When that many friends and associates get together in one place, it truly reveals the strength of the personality whose passing we celebrate. I know in my heart that Pam would have enjoyed the event and we can be safe in the knowledge that she is aware of how it went. The tough part is for those who are left behind, she has it far better than we, and we can take solace in that fact. Take heart, live the future as she would have wanted you to, and strive to find that peace in your lives. Ron T.

The news of Pam's death brings overwhelming sadness. How fondly I recall her endless energy and eagerness to help everyone. I am sure my boys are a bit wiser and smarter having been taught and tutored by Miss Pam. Please know Don, Ryan, and Brett that Pam had a truly positive impact on our lives. My deepest sympathy to you all. Linda Robson

Don, Brett and Ryan, just a note to extend my sincere sympathy for the loss of your beloved wife and mother. John and I intended to attend Pam's service on Saturday night until I realized I will be transporting young people to the 'winter ball' at Decatur. Mark Underwood stated that 'Pam would fully understand since family was paramont with her'. Again, our prayers and sympathy go with you and God Bless. Jane and John

Don & Family, With our Deepest Smypathy at least now she is at peace. I reget not contacting you & Pam sooner. I had heard Pam was ill but had no idea she was so sick. I spoke with Pam about a year or so ago at the craft store and we both stated we would get together soon. Please accept our deepest regrets. Love to you and your family Don! Love, Patti & Ken
