There are 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; one sister and two brothers. A daughter, his parents, Owen and Faye Palmer, and one brother preceded him in death. Buddy became a born-again Christian at an early age and his deep faith only became stronger for the rest of his life. He moved his membership to the First United Methodist Church of Hillsville, Virginia in May 2006. Buddy was a self-taught master carver of wood and also did fine drawings and paintings. He created many masterpieces and received awards and recognition for his work. He had a good eye for design and worked with many interior designers in the Atlanta, Georgia area. A very special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph Medical Hospital in Tacoma and to all the workers with the Franciscan Health System for all their help and support. He often referred to these people as “angels from God sent to care for him in his hours of need.” Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center 253-566-1008
