Obituary of Jacqueline M. Gaines

Jacqueline M. Gaines was born on February 13, 1948 to the union of the late Boyces Washington Sr. and Sallie Mae Washington in Buffalo, New York. Jackie accepted Christ as a child, and re-dedicated her life to the Lord after relocating to Tacoma Washington in 1992. Jackie passed away suddenly after a brief illness on January 3, 2008 at Franciscan Hospice House, University Place, WA. She received her nursing education from Erie Community College and D'youville College, Buffalo, NY. Her nursing career began as a registered nurse at Buffalo Psychiatric Center and West Seneca State School where she worked for twenty years. She moved to the state of Washington and spent the last 14 years as a Psychiatric Nurse and Nursing Supervisor at Western State Hospital. Jackie loved to work on and build computers and spent many hours everyday working on number probabilities. Although she had no formal computer training she surely mastered computers and technology. She loved to travel, listen to music, watch movies, spend time with friends and family especially her two grand children. Jackie loved electronics and always had to have the best and latest equipment. She enjoyed meeting people and truly never met a stranger. Precious memories of Jackie will linger in the hearts of her beloved; James A. Sharp of Tacoma, Washington; her loving son Ravi A. Sharp and daughter-in-law Tamika, grandchildren Faith and Nathan all of Dallas, Texas; her brothers, Dock (Blanche) Washington, Robert (Maxine) Washington, Bobby Earl (Yvonne) Washington, Boyces Washington Jr., one step brother William McMillan all of Buffalo, New York. One sister; Carol Renee (Frankie) Johnson of Spanaway, Washington, and a special sister-in-law Arlene Walker of Buffalo, New York. A host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special friends: Dianne Stanley, Anne Jones, Marge Bryant, and Zahra Angel.
