Obituary of Alice Jane Gore

Alice Jane Gore, 87, of Kennewick, Washington, passed away at the home of her son, Jerry Gore, in Royal Palm Beach, Florida on Monday, February 20, 2006. She was born October 22, 1918 to Bertha and Leroy Caviness in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She went to school in Stillwell, Oklahoma and married Howard Gore on May 17, 1935 and celebrated 62 yrs of marriage before Howard died in 1997. They moved to the State of Washington around 1947. Alice was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Pasco for many years. As a dedicated teacher of Sunday School, Child Evangelism, Awana, and Daily Vacation Bible School she impacted the lives of many children throughout the years. She is preceded by her husband, Howard, and son, Donald Ray Gore. She is survived by three sons: Jim Gore of Kennewick, Dale Gore of Orting, WA, and Jerry Gore of Royal Palm Beach, Florida. She is also survived by sisters Nellie Witt of Amarillo, Texas, and Edith Caviness of Talequah, OK. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous loved ones and friends will miss her greatly. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Pasco, 1105 Rd. 36, Pasco, on Monday, February 27th, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Dale Gore will officiate. Flowers may be received at the Church.
