Obituary of Doris Irene Petersen

Born in Livingston, Montana to Charles and Lena Purdy on May 29th 1925, Doris joined her husband, son and many other loved family members and friends in heaven on December 6th, 2011. Doris graduated from Lincoln H.S. in 1943 and married Morris Petersen on April 16, 1946. Together they raised three children. Doris has been a member of Bethesda Baptist Church for 60 years, where she taught Sunday school, was known for many years as one of the precious “Nursery Ladies”, worked at many summer Bible Camps, and loved to sing with the congregation. She treasured her family and friends, her garden, and memories of her childhood. Preceded in death by her parents, Charles H. and Lena M. Purdy, brothers Harold and Charles H. Purdy, Jr., husband Morris L. Petersen, and son Daryl L. Petersen. Remaining to cherish her memory are her brother Donald L.(Jeanne) Purdy; son Ronald L. Petersen, daughter, Linda L.(Larry) Howell; grandchildren Justin Howell, Adam Howell and Karena (Steve) Glodowski; and great-granddaughter Lydia Cha Glodowski.
